Glen Mitchell Simon is a Minot, Maine native who later settled in Jackson County, Georgia, before January 6, 2021 put his name in a federal case. (FACT, Newscenter Maine, AJC) Home newspapers on both ends of his life covered his case, the Maine paper that watched a native son end up in Washington, and the Georgia paper covering his Jackson County neighbors. A plea agreement was entered October 15, 2021, and a new agreement replaced it April 29, 2022.
