Elias Costianes is a car dealer, a homebuilder, and a YouTube creator from Nottingham, Maryland, just outside Baltimore. Three trades. He sells cars. He builds houses. He makes his own content and puts it out under his own name. THE MAN FACT: Elias Costianes is described in Baltimore reporting as a car dealer, homebuilder and YouTube content creator. THEIR ACCOUNT: Costianes told the court he planned to go home and care for an ailing sister. Source: The Baltimore Banner. A man who builds houses and sells cars and takes care of his own family. That belongs on the record next to everything else. THE JANUARY 6 CASE FACT: He was arrested February 12, 2021 and indicted by a grand jury March 3, 2021. CHARGE ONLY: Obstruction of an Official Proceeding; Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds; Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building or Grounds; Entering and Remaining in the Gallery of Congress; Disorderly Conduct in a Capitol Building; and Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building. FACT: Elias Costianes pleaded not guilty to every count. He never pleaded guilty in the January 6 case. FACT: On January 21, 2025, the court granted the government's motion to dismiss the January 6 case with prejudice. No trial. No conviction. It cannot be brought back. THE SEPARATE MARYLAND CASE, STATED PLAINLY CHARGE ONLY / NEEDS AUTHENTICATION: Separately from January 6, Costianes was indicted in the District of Maryland on drug conspiracy and firearms charges after a search connected to the Capitol investigation.
