David Slinker is a Kentucky man from the Edmonton area, in the rolling farm country of south-central Kentucky. On January 6, 2021, he flew from Louisville to Washington, D.C., attended the rally near the White House, and walked to the Capitol like thousands of others (Local21 News). FACT: David Slinker entered the building through the Senate Wing doors that afternoon (Local21 News, citing court records). FACT: He was arrested near Edmonton, Kentucky, on October 29 — on misdemeanor charges only. Charges are charges, and his were the lowest tier on the books. FACT: His case was among those covered when President Trump signed the January 20, 2025 clemency proclamation on January 6 prosecutions, which directed dismissal of pending cases.
