Cylester Maxwell is an Alpharetta, Georgia man who was 42 years old when federal agents came for him, almost four years after the day in question. FACT: Cylester Maxwell was arrested in Georgia in October 2024. FOX 5 Atlanta and the Forsyth County News both reported the arrest and both placed him in Alpharetta, in north Fulton County. CHARGE ONLY: The complaint alleged two felony counts, assaulting officers using a dangerous weapon and civil disorder, plus four misdemeanor counts. Prosecutors said he was identified through open source video. Every one of those was an allegation on paper. Cylester Maxwell never went to trial. No jury ever weighed that video. He is presumed innocent of all of it. FACT: On January 20, 2025, President Trump issued clemency covering January 6 cases, including directing the Attorney General to dismiss pending indictments.
