Curtis Davis is a 45-year-old man from Snow Hill, North Carolina, a small Greene County town east of Raleigh where everybody still knows everybody. This is the record on Curtis Davis. Not a mugshot. Not a headline. The record. Court documents say Davis went into the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, through the east rotunda doors around 3 p.m. The government's own filing says he was in a physical confrontation with officers inside the rotunda, that he tried to pull a police baton away from an officer, and that he punched a riot shield during the struggle. He said afterward, on video, that he had hurt his own hand doing it. The FBI did not knock on his door that week, or that year. Davis was arrested December 8, 2023, nearly three years after January 6. He was there with a companion, Tonya Bishop, who was arrested on related charges of her own. Davis pleaded guilty to one count of Assaulting, Resisting, or Impeding Certain Officers. On October 18, 2024, a judge in Washington, D.C. sentenced him to 24 months incarceration, 36 months of supervised release with the first six months on home detention, $2,000 in restitution, a $100 special assessment, and 100 hours of community service. On January 20, 2025, President Trump granted Curtis Davis a full pardon covering his January 6 case. Same case. Same man. Different ending than the one the government wrote for him in 2024. This site does not soften what the record says and it does not pile on past it either. Curtis Davis of Snow Hill, North Carolina did his time in the system, took the plea, and walked out the other side with a pardon in hand. That is the record. Put your own eyes on it.
