Craig Jackson Moore is a 44-year-old man from Johnson City, Texas, the small Hill Country town Lyndon Johnson called home. Craig Jackson Moore did not get arrested in the days after January 6. He did not get arrested in the months after. The FBI showed up at his door in Austin, Texas on May 16, 2024, more than three years later. Federal prosecutors' own statement of offense says Moore came from Texas and arrived in Washington by January 4, 2021. It says he went into the Capitol through a north side door around 3:11 p.m. that afternoon, walking through the Brumidi Corridor. That's the government's account, filed under oath by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Manning with the Capitol Siege Section. Moore pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts: Disorderly Conduct in a Capitol Building and Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building. No assault charge. No weapon. No conspiracy count. Sentencing was set for February 25, 2025. It never happened. On January 22, 2025, the court granted the government's own motion to dismiss Craig Jackson Moore's case with prejudice, two days after President Trump's clemency proclamation on January 20, 2025 wiped out the January 6 prosecutions. The case that took the government more than three years to bring ended in a dismissal the government itself asked for. Same record, told straight. Craig Jackson Moore of Johnson City, Texas walked into a courtroom, pleaded to two misdemeanors, and never spent a day sentenced before his own government moved to drop the case. Read the record.
