Corey Horan was one of the many thousands of Americans who came to Washington on January 6, 2021. FACT: The government did not charge him until August 2023 — more than two and a half years later. The counts were misdemeanors tied to conduct on Capitol grounds, not violence. (Court docket; Insurrection Index.) FACT: He was released on his own recognizance. No detention. The case moved fast and closed by early 2024. On January 20, 2025, President Trump granted clemency to January 6 defendants. That covered Corey. To most people he is a line on a list. To us he is a person — and until his own family tells his story, this is what the record shows, plainly and without spin. THE RECORD Case No. 23-MJ-00192 (later 1:24-cr-00005), U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Complaint filed 08/07/2023. Arrested 08/08/2023. Released on personal recognizance. This profile is unclaimed. If this is you — or your family — claiming it is free, forever.
