Catholine DeVries is a 76 year old woman from Solomons, Maryland, the small boating town where the Patuxent River meets the Chesapeake Bay. Seventy six years old. FACT: Catholine DeVries was arrested on July 30, 2024, in Washington, D.C., three and a half years after January 6, 2021. FACT: The counts filed against her were Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds, Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building or Grounds, Entering and Remaining in Certain Rooms in the Capitol Building, Disorderly Conduct in a Capitol Building, and Parading, Picketing, and Demonstrating in a Capitol Building. Trespass and conduct counts. No assault charge. No weapon charge. No conspiracy charge. FACT: On February 24, 2025, the court granted the government's motion and dismissed the case with prejudice. That followed the clemency President Trump granted on January 20, 2025, covering the January 6 prosecutions. WHAT THIS DOES NOT PROVE: Catholine DeVries was never convicted of anything in this case.
