FACT: Bryan, of Lockport, Illinois, was among the last January 6 defendants charged, more than three years after the riot, in early 2024. News coverage of his case reports he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor disorderly conduct and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building. FACT: Federal prosecutors asked the court to send him to jail for two weeks. The judge chose three years of probation instead. THEIR ACCOUNT: Bryan and his girlfriend Kelly made the trip together and were charged together. They've since married. Whatever else that day cost them, it didn't cost them each other.
