Brandon Straka is from Omaha, Nebraska, a hairstylist who became a social-media voice and founded the #WalkAway campaign in 2018, encouraging people to leave the Democratic Party. (FACT: CNN; Washington Post.) He came to Washington on January 6, 2021. Per the statement of offense he signed, Straka did not enter the Capitol building, he was outside, and left a short time later. He pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct in a restricted building. (FACT.)
