Bradley Rukstales built a career. He was the chief executive of Cogensia, a marketing-data company in the Chicago suburbs, and he lived in Inverness, Illinois. (FACT — CBS Chicago; NBC News) Then came one day that cost him nearly all of it. Bradley did not hide behind a lawyer's spin. His own words: ''It was the worst decision of my life.'' (THEIR ACCOUNT — UPI) He was among the first people in Illinois to plead guilty. He pleaded to a single misdemeanor — parading in the Capitol — and was sentenced to 30 days and $500 in restitution. Within days of January 6, his company placed him on leave and then terminated him. He lost the business career he had spent decades building.
