FACT: Bradley Nelson was arrested on March 22, 2023, on four nonviolent misdemeanor charges: entering a restricted building, disorderly or disruptive conduct, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, and parading, demonstrating or picketing (8 News Now). No assault. No destruction charged. FACT: In August 2024, a judge ordered him detained pending trial after prosecutors pointed to his online posts (CBS News). Those were allegations — his December 2024 trial date came and went without a verdict on them. FACT: On January 20, 2025, President Trump signed a clemency proclamation covering January 6 prosecutions, directing dismissal of pending cases like Nelson's.
