Billy Joe Gober of Smithville, Texas was 65 years old when federal agents arrested him in 2023 — more than two years after January 6. The government charged him with felony civil disorder and assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers, plus misdemeanor counts, alleging confrontations at a police line on the Capitol steps (FACT — DOJ press release; FOX 7 Austin). Charges are charges. They are not convictions, and public reporting shows no trial verdict against him. On January 20, 2025, President Trump's clemency proclamation pardoned January 6 convictions and directed the Attorney General to seek dismissal of the January 6 cases still pending — the category this 2023 complaint fell into (FACT). THE CASE RECORD Case No. 1:23-mj-00209, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Complaint filed June 2023; arrested in Texas. Docket: see accompanying documents. This profile is unclaimed. If this is you — or your family — claiming it is free, forever.
