Benjamin John Silva of Yacolt, Washington — a small town in the southwest corner of the state — was 36 when the January 6 case came to his door. [FACT] He was in the crowd on the Lower West Terrace that day. When federal agents came in 2023, and when the footage was put in front of him, he did the thing a lot of people never do: he identified himself. He owned where he was.
