Benjamin Shuler is a Grove City, Ohio man swept into the largest federal investigation in American history. FACT: On January 6, 2021, prosecutors placed Ben in the crowd on the Capitol's northwest steps as a police line advanced, and charged him with civil disorder and assaulting/resisting officers plus misdemeanors. Charges are charges — allegations, not proof. (Source: DOJ) FACT: On January 20, 2025, President Trump granted clemency to Ben and roughly 1,500 other January 6 defendants. FACT: Ben remains incarcerated in Ohio on a separate, unrelated state matter — an aggravated vehicular homicide sentence. Different case, different court, nothing to do with January 6. We note it only because it is public and because it is why he is not yet home. (Source: NBC4/10TV) A man is more than his worst day. If you know Ben — his work, his people, the good he has done — help us tell it.
