Baptiste Quinternet — North Carolina. Baptiste is a North Carolina professional — a photographer by trade, based in the Raleigh area. FACT: His was one of the very last January 6 arrests made under the Biden Justice Department. Court records (docket 1:24-mj-00097) show a sealed complaint, an arrest warrant returned executed on November 21, 2024, a first appearance in D.C. on December 10, 2024, and release on personal recognizance. He was never held. Reporters covering the January 6 docket (including Politico's Kyle Cheney) flagged his arrest as among the final ones before the change in administration. FACT: On January 20, 2025 — just weeks after his first court appearance — President Trump granted clemency to January 6 defendants. Cases in this last wave were swept up in that clemency. A working photographer, arrested in the closing days of the prosecutions and then cleared by clemency before the case ever went far. That timing is a real part of his story.
