Andrew Trevor Settles is a Jerseyville, Illinois man who fought his federal case on a not guilty plea and never backed off it. This is the record. FACT: Andrew Trevor Settles, of Jerseyville, was charged in connection with the events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. FACT: the charges against him, per the federal criminal complaint, were misdemeanor level: entering and remaining in a restricted building and disorderly conduct. CHARGE ONLY, presumption of innocence applies: there is no allegation in the public complaint that Settles assaulted anyone, carried a weapon, or destroyed property. Settles was not arrested until June 5, 2024, more than three years after January 6. He held his not guilty plea the entire time, through the arrest, through arraignment, all the way until the case ended. He did not trade a plea for a lighter outcome. He stood on his plea. This is the record, and the record does not lie. A small-town Illinois man held to a not guilty plea against the full weight of the federal government for years, and the case never got the chance to prove him wrong at trial. Here is where the legal fight stands now. FACT: On January 20, 2025, President Trump signed the pardon and clemency proclamation for January 6 defendants. FACT: On January 23, 2025, the court granted the government's own motion to dismiss Andrew Settles's case with prejudice. Prosecutors dropped their own case. Permanently. Settles was never convicted of anything. What this does not prove: dismissal with prejudice means the government chose not to pursue it, not that a jury cleared him, and this profile does not overstate that. What it does prove: after everything, Andrew Trevor Settles carries no federal conviction from January 6. NEEDS AUTHENTICATION: beyond the criminal complaint on file in Washington, no additional local coverage of Andrew Settles's family, work, or community life in Jerseyville has been confirmed and connected to this case yet. CASE RECORD: U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Charged with entering and remaining in a restricted building and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors. Arrested June 5, 2024, tied to Jerseyville, Illinois, age 37. Pleaded not guilty. Case dismissed with prejudice January 23, 2025, following the January 20, 2025 clemency proclamation. Read it. Share it. Send receipts, evidence, witnesses. Put eyes on the record. Do not threaten anyone, do not harass anyone, do not contact anyone in my name. This profile is unclaimed. If this is you, or your family, claiming it is free, forever.
