He went inside the Capitol, stayed about 15 minutes, and took photos. He was arrested January 19, 2021 and became the first South Carolinian sentenced in a January 6 case. He pleaded guilty on September 14, 2021 to one misdemeanor count, parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building. On December 16, 2021 he was sentenced to 36 months probation, 60 hours of community service and $500 restitution. No prison time.
