A young man, a phone, and one bad day that got posted to Snapchat. That is most of the story here. (per court record) FACT: Ericson was tracked down by the FBI after his own Snapchat posts from inside the Capitol circulated online, and he was released on bond shortly after his arrest. Federal prosecutors in Oklahoma City walked reporters through the case at the time. (KFOR; KTUL; Tulsa World) FACT: He pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor, parading, demonstrating, or picketing in the Capitol, and prosecutors dropped three other charges. He was sentenced to two years of probation, 20 days of intermittent confinement served on weekends, and $500 restitution. No allegation of assault.
